Malie Rich-Griffith has always loved travel but she didnt become serious about photography until she traveled
on her first trip to East Africa nearly 10 years ago. Since that time, she has developed a special fondnessand
talentfor photographing animals and creating portraits of the people she meets during her travels.
In her decade of shooting, Malies work has been published in a variety of well-known magazines including
National Wildlife, Outdoor Photographer, Natural History, Smithsonian, Ranger Rick, Birder's World,
and American Photo and her images have graced book covers around the world, from London to New Zealand.
She has exhibited her photos in New York, Honolulu and London and has received several top awards in a variety
of photo competitions including Grand Prize in the 1999 National Wildlife Photography Contest, First Prize in
the worldwide 2000 Photopoint competition and a General Prize in the worldwide 2001 M.I.L.K. competition.
Malie has traveled with us on trips to Antarctica, Galápagos, Svalbard, Finnmark, India, Zambia and
Bhutan and we look forward to seeing her again on 2004 trips to Kenya and back to Antarctica to see the
